Deborah W. Reynolds
I am a parent/ grandmother who have always believed in volunteering my time at my children’s school. Now that they are grown up, I am now doing it for my grandson, Xiki’A Reynolds who is in the 7th grade here at Cicely L. Tyson School.
I
have been a part of Althea Gibson and Dionne Warwick PTO as well as serving on
several Boards throughout Essex County.
I am a Social Worker and work for East Orange Child Development Corp. (Early
Head Start Program) for over 17 years.
I’m
here to be a part of this PTO board to help make things better for the school
and to show support, not only to the school but for my grandson. Because when you show support, I feel a child
does better!

I am currently a proud parent of a high school student and previous graduate of CTS.
I have served as President and Vice-President of
the CTS- Choir Parent Association for the high school choir.
I work in the Information Technology industry.
My church is one of my greatest foundations
where I am a member of the Choir and serve as a Youth Advisor.
My motto is: Be part of the Solution not the
Problem.

I have two children
that attend Cicely L. Tyson School of Performing and Fines Arts.
I’ve been employed
with the East Orange School District going on for 7 years. I continue to be involved in the school as a
class advisor for Cicely L. Tyson and now a PTO Vice President of the High
School.
I have been a resident
of East Orange, New Jersey since 1993. My other services that I participate
with are: The Breast Cancer Walk which I have done for the past 9 years and The
Asthma Walk for the past 5 years.
I believe in showing my children and students that in life
you give back and show support to your community.
